The Heart Behind Evangelism

We take a short break from our Colossians series on the gospel with a three week series on evangelism. We see this as such an important part of our role as a church – to be heralds and stewards of the amazing message of good news that Jesus brings in the gospel. Bruce starts the series off with a consideration of our hearts – this is where evangelism needs to start.

Michael unpacks the principle of work as explained in the Bible and in particular, the example and instruction given by Paul to the church in Thessalonica. He looks at how being human, created in the image of God, is foundational to our understanding of work and living out the purpose God has for us and how idleness is warned against for Christians who want to bring glory to God.

Settling unsettled hearts 2 Thes 2:1-12

Johan continues our series in Living the Light of the End Times with this sermon on how Paul addresses two issues that unsettled the Thessalonian church and how these relate to the church today: False teaching and the justice against those who persecute christians. He looks at how standing by the truth of the scriptures is critical to securing our unsettled hearts.
