Dave Hallett introduced some very special people from ECF who share their testimonies of their experience under lockdown. Through it all, our heavenly Father has triumphed, He has not given any of us more than we can handle, and this has come through in all testimonies. May you be blessed and encouraged as you listen…
Listen to Michael Harber as he shares some encouragement in the face of COVID 19 pandemic. We welcome him back after being “tucked away” in isolation for a couple of weeks.
We take a short break from our Colossians series on the gospel with a three week series on evangelism. We see this as such an important part of our role as a church – to be heralds and stewards of the amazing message of good news that Jesus brings in the gospel. Bruce starts the series off with a consideration of our hearts – this is where evangelism needs to start.
Dave wraps up the series, “Living in the Light of the End Times” with a look at the last few closing thoughts from Paul: Persevere in good, protect your faith and pray for peace from the Lord of Peace.
Bruce helps us understand how to suffer for Christ is something that is happening all over the world and we need to be praying for and supporting the suffering church, both those in our own community and those in other places.
Brynn looks at how we can find comfort and certainty in a world which is changing at a rapid rate – looking at the book written to the Hebrew Christians who were undergoing a time of incredible turmoil. Brynn reminds us that we can place our full trust in a God who never changes, looking back at those who have gone before, reflecting inward as we let go of the things holding us back and looking upward at our Lord who is waiting for us.
As we continue our series in John, Hans leads us through dark days for Peter when he denies His Lord. He then looks back at Peter’s journey of faith (called, convicted, comforted, challenged, confessed, confident) to the point where Peter reaches the dark moment where his courage fails. Hans challenges us in our generation: if we want to take a stand for Christ, we too may come under the attack of Satan whose desire is for us to lose faith. But the story ends with Peter graciously being brought back by the Lord and being commissioned and showing faithful commitment to his Lord and the church through the rest of his life.
Johan concluded the series in the minor prophets with a powerful consideration of the age old question that is still so relevant today: Where is the God of justice? He takes time to consider the heart behind this question and the response from a living and just God, who has eternity in view.
Bruce shares from Daniel on what it means to stand alone and how important the reformation was as an example in Church history of standing for truth.
