Johan begins a new Christmas Series calling us to worship the Saviour and looking at the aspect of praise. He takes us through Psalm 100 as a blueprint for intentional, joyful and heartfelt praise. For us to praise our awesome God we need to know him and have a grateful heart.
Mike challenges us to have an honest look at our lives and do everything we do to glorify God as he explores the last in the series on exploring Acts. He examines the life of Stephen but first takes us to Isaiah 6 to understand what it means to glorify God.
Johan takes us on a journey through the next two elements of the ECF vision “transforming and equipping” as we continue to explore Acts, looking in depth at the process of transformation and the key practical aspects of equipping in the truth of scripture and equipping to serve. .
Johan looks at the second in the series, Exploring Acts, considering the centrality of Christ to the scriptures, salvation and our daily witness as Christ followers – this is a message which reminds us that without Christ at the center of all we are and do, we have nothing and can do nothing of spiritual value.
Dave starts the new series exploring acts, unpacking the key elements of the vision at ECF to be a loving community church, centered in Christ, transforming and equipping people to bring glory to God. He looks at the example of the early church as it shared, served (hospitality), supported, settled (forgives) and supplicated (prayed). Jesus said, by this ALL people would know that we are his disciples, by our love for one another.
Johan brings us a devotion after a time of prayer as a church and asks a question we need to ask ourselves. He looks at the passage that challenges us to find our source in God alone.
Brynn looks at how we can find comfort and certainty in a world which is changing at a rapid rate – looking at the book written to the Hebrew Christians who were undergoing a time of incredible turmoil. Brynn reminds us that we can place our full trust in a God who never changes, looking back at those who have gone before, reflecting inward as we let go of the things holding us back and looking upward at our Lord who is waiting for us.
James Levengood takes us through the final chapter in our John series, looking at the restoration of Peter and the renewed calling on his life to “Follow me”. James takes us through the passage in John 21 and considers the night of defeat, followed by a morning of delights, a day of decisions and a life of service.
Michael asks us to consider once again, that vital question, “What is truth?” He examines what Jesus’s resurrection means in answering that question. He considers the title “doubting Thomas” and encourages us to make an honest quest for truth in our own lives and explains how God will honour that desire if we, in our hearts, are truly open to the truth.
Dave looks at the evidence for Jesus resurrection and the impact it has on our lives today. He explores John’s account of the resurrection in the light of the evidence of Old Testament prophecy fulfilled, Jesus claims fulfilled and the foundation of the church. David aims to equip us to be ready to give a reason for the hope we have as Christians.
